Washington Is Broken
How does a career politician like John McCain get to air an ad that says “Washington is broken?” Um, wasn’t he in the majority party for 6 of the last 8 years? And didn’t he help elect George Bush to a second term? Ergo, if Washington is broken, isn’t it kind of his fault?

Hey Jeff - I’d love your take on the “Original Maverick” thing.

It just blows my mind that you don’t have to have a single lick of evidence or substance in your ads. He “took on big oil”? Then why have they given him almost $900,000 in campaign contributions? It seems like you can just say anything you want to in campaign ads. What’s the point of even having a platform?
And why haven’t the Democrats used the term “maverick” to their advantage? When I think “maverick Vietnam vet,” I picture a guy who’s on the verge of going on a slaughter at the post office. “Maverick” is real close to “unhinged.”
