Only God Is God, Dumbasses
I was just reading an article about the movie Smiley Face (the finest stoner movie ever made) entitled Anna Farris is God. I will agree, she is totally amazing in that movie. But then I get down to the comments, and here’s what “Kevin” has to say about the situation:
This is really ridiculous, Why are all of you worshiping Anna Faris as if she is a god or something. We are little gods that will rule but, don’t do Anna that way she is a woman look at her the way God made her. Anna is just a person.
This guy gives new meaning to the word “clueless.” This guy lives in a world in which clues do not exist. Fingerprints are nothing but smudges in Kevin’s world. Footprints lead nowhere and tell you nothing. Foreshadowing is out for this guy, and every hint is a red herring.

When I was in college, my crazy Catholic mom overheard my friend Joe say that Liz Phair was God. She immediately darted in the room and said, “God is God.” Do people get this uppity over other fictional characters besides God? Like, if Joe had said to a Trekkie, “Liz Phair is a Vulcan,” would the Trekkie derisively say, “Mr. Spock is a Vulcan”?
And, yes, I know that Liz Phair sucks now, but “Exile in Guyville” was pretty goddamn godly.

I’m pretty sure, yeah, a Trekkie would say exactly that.
