U.S.A.
The crowd literally chants U.S.A. every time he stops talking. This crowd LOVES this country. Do you hear me? THEY LOVE THIS COUNTRY!

All I have to say to that is… USA! USA! USA!
Seriously, though, I haven’t watched it yet, and may delete it from the tivo without watching. Mostly because I can’t stand to hear any more of that rubbish, but also as a protest of the idiots who think Palin got high ratings mostly because people were excited to hear her. Guess why so many people saw Britney’s performance at whatever MTV awards show it was. People love to see a train wreck.

That’s exactly why I turned NPR off last night. I couldn’t get past the RAH-RAHing.
Sigh.

I chant that every time there’s a pause in a conversation. It seems to unnerve most of the people I’m talking with (friends, lovers, clients), but what do they have to hide, anyway? Are they ashamed of this country?

Wait … you like America? Like, you’re happy to be living here? I don’t know if you’ve caught the vibe, bro, but this blog is for liberal America-haters only. You know, the kind of people that don’t support the troops and want the terrorists to win. You can take your freedom-loving ass elsewhere, ’cause we prefer oppression round these parts.

Wait … you like America?
I want to go down on America during her special time. That’s how much I love it.
That said, I hate the fucking troops. Idiots. Don’t they know there’s a sweet cottage industry gig back home called “I support the troops”? Why would some asshole go over to Oooga-booga or wherever the fuck they are when they could just print Yellow Ribbon magnetic bumper stickers and stage RNC video footage?
What’s more important after all than stating you support the troops? Answer: Nothing.

My preferred chant is “drill, baby, drill” Has a better ring to it.

There’s a German expression that would fit really nicely with their brave stance on Iraq … “Sieg Heil.” It means “Hail Victory,” and it sounds very motivational when chanted by thousands of people in unison. I’m not sure if it’s ever been used in politics before, though.
