Who Knew?
“Hootie & the Blowfish is an American rock band that enjoyed widespread popularity in the second half of the 1990s. It was originally formed in 1986 at the University of South Carolina by Darius Rucker, Dean Felber, Jim Sonefeld, and Mark Bryan. The band has recorded seven studio albums to date, and has charted sixteen singles on various Billboard singles charts. Their 1994 debut album, Cracked Rear View, is one of the best selling albums of all time, going platinum sixteen times.“

I think it must be something similiar to the Scientologists buying all of the copies of Dianetics every year to keep it on the best seller list. Hootie and/or the Blowfish have spent all their money buying their albums from various bargain bins around the country.

Nope. But I did purchase a Dave Matthews Band album back in the day. Not as bad, right?

My guess is that very few people currently own that album but there isn’t a used CD bin on Earth that doesn’t contain at least a dozen copies.
And, Kyle, saying that Dave Matthews is not as bad as Hootie is like saying that stepping on a cat turd is not as bad as stepping on a dog turd. The cat turd may be smaller, but it’s still a turd.
