New Hampshire Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, a vocal gay rights leader, will open President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration with a prayer on Sunday’s kick-off event at the Lincoln Memorial.

Amazing. That’s more radical than I would have ever expected. I love that every time people are like, “Obama’s just some old caving-in-to-his-opponents summabitch,” he rolls out his next move and he’s all, “How you like me now, bitches?” Forcing Rick Warren to be on the same stage as Gene Robinson. Beautiful.

I love this new America. Now if we could only figure out how to get the “employ Jeffrey D.” part right, we just might be entering a new golden age.
