Weight Loss Challenge Day 34
Dammit! I really wanted to just post a picture of the scale today, but I left my camera at home. Boooo me. Here’s the thing: shit just got real.

See? Do you see?!? I’m under 190! For the first time in at least 5 years, I am under 190. This morning I was walking to work, and I was looking like a FOOL with my pants on the ground! My jeans are getting looser. My face looks slimmer. The belly still needs a lot of work … 17 years of excessive beer drinking does not just melt off, I’m afraid. But who knows how it will look after another 10 pounds disappear?
Is it possible that if I keep this up for another 34 days, I will be at 178? Doubtful. I’ll hit a wall at some point. I’m bracing for it. I’m wearing my seatbelt. I walk around in a seatbelt and helmet contraption all day long, just in case the wall comes up, unexpectedly. People don’t even notice. They’re like, “why are you wearing those stupid-looking shoes?”

I cheated a little today because I was starving and El Greco wasn’t answering their phone. I went to Quiznos. Granted, I got a veggie sub. But it was regular size, which is pretty big, and it sure did not taste healthy.

I’ve noticed my pants getting looser, too. I honestly hadn’t thought about the “I’m going to need to buy new pants” aspect of this. Annoying, but worth it. BTW, I also think it’s funny that some people diet specifically to fit into smaller clothes, whereas I am definitely dieting to be healthier; what clothes I fit into is absolutely unimpressive to me :)
